Toshiba Satellite C600 Series Review
Designed for budget-smart consumers and “Back-to-School” shoppers looking for a quality entry-level PC to manage basic productivity, the new Satellite C600 Series of laptops strike an ideal balance of style, performance and cost at price points starting under $500.
Fully encased in Toshiba’s durable Trax textured end in Black that helps resist fingerprints, the Satellite C600 Series comes in 14-inch and 15.6-inch diagonal display1 options. The laptops are equipped with standout features like HD TruBrite® widescreen displays, quick DDR3 RAM and hard drives ranging from 250GB to 320GB2. Well-equipped with built-in high-speed Wireless-N3 connectivity, DVD SuperMulti drives, multi-touch TouchPads™ and a choice of Intel or AMD processors, the laptops are a cinch to use and are ideal for powering the essentials.

* Additional features of Satellite C600 Series laptops include: High Definition Displays: HD TruBrite widescreen displays feature 16:9 aspect ratios and native 720p resolution, well-suited for enjoying digital entertainment, powering through spreadsheets or managing home finances.
* Toshiba Bulletin Board: Gives users quick access to day-to-day activities, tasks and projects in a simple and visual way. Bulletin Board makes organizing disparately stored files simpler with the ability to drag and drop links, documents, photos, videos and applications into one place. Bulletin Board also includes several built in gadgets such as marks, calendars, a clock and a to-do list.
* Toshiba ReelTime™: Helps users easily and quickly find files based on when they were opened with a simple visual history. Quickly scroll through automatically generated previews of documents, spreadsheets, presentations and more, filter by file type or use the calendar to go back weeks or months.
* Ten-key Keypad: The 15.6-inch Satellite C655 features a built-in numeric 10-key keypad.

The Satellite C600 Series laptops are designed to be environmentally conscious, meeting the rigorous requirements of the EnergyStar® 5.0 standard and achieving industry-leading Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT®) Gold status. The Satellite C640 also features a power-efficient, mercury-free LED backlit show. Both are RoHS compatible, effectively reducing the environmental impact by restricting the use of lead, mercury, cadmium and certain other hazardous substances. In addition, the laptops also are equipped with Toshiba’s power-saving eco Utility™, which enables users to monitor and adjust their power consumption and settings in real-time.
