Nokia Booklet 3G Review

We remember the last time a mobile phone vendor tried its hand at a miniature notebook. It was called the HTC Shift, and while we liked the thought of it, it was way too slow and expensive to take off, not to mention being too far ahead of its time. The Nokia Booklet 3G, introduced well into the netbook craze, is unlikely to follow a similar fate. Nokia takes fantastic pains to avoid calling the Booklet 3G a netbook, but since it’s got a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor (albeit of the Z530 variety, usually reserved for Mobile Internet Devices), a 10-inch show and runs Windows 7, we’re going to go ahead and call it a netbook anyway. Features that are (relatively) unique to the Booklet 3G are the built-in 3G, GPS (which works with the Ovi Maps application) and HDMI port, plus the screen resolution is an unusual 1280 x 720. Battery life is rated at an impressive 12 hours.
