The 1005PR is certainly one of the best among the netbooks with a sleek and lightweight design, incredible sound quality and touchpad. It’s nearly perfect, but for its very average keypad. Lets look at the pros and cons of this netbook in more detail:
PROS
DESIGN
With its slim look and rounded edges, the design of the 1005PR is pretty elegant. Also, this 10.3 x 7 x 1.4 inch netbook comes with a matte outer shell and a fingerprint- checkered pattern on the lid which is also fingerprint-resistant. In essence, it’s class yet not loud. It available in four colours – black, white, pink and dark blue. The design is complimented with its light weight, which weigh just 2.4 pounds, and is surely one of the lighter netbooks in its category.
HEAT
Not only is the design cool, but also the netbook temperature. There are usually no hassles with respect to the netbook getting heated up excessively
TOUCHPAD
Complimenting the netbooks dotted matte design; the touchpad too is covered with small dots. The 2.5 x 1.5-inch pad touchpad is reasonably simple to use, and navigation isn’t really a problem. The touchpad also exhibits small friction, as compared to some other netbooks. Also, the touchpad supports multi touch. One can simple pinch and zoom using two fingers. The 1005PR is also equipped with a single mouse button which is also simple to use.
SHOW AND AUDIO
THE 10.1 inch, LED-backlit show of the 1005PR is HD friendly. The colours are also bright and deep. Also, viewing from the side angles is pretty reasonable.

CONS
KEYBOARD
One of the most disappointing aspects of the 1005PR is its keyboard. It is very noisy to type on this netbook, which can be really irritating. Also there is a noticeable flex that is experienced while one types.
PERFORMANCE
Configured with a 1.66-GHz Atom N450 processor, the 1005PR’s performance levels are reasonable, but below some of the others in its category. Also, it isn’t very comfortable when multiple tabs are opened.
With many more pros than cons, the 1005PR is one of the best in its league. Though the typing experience isn’t the best, its fantastic battery life, sleek and light weight design, HD video capability and fantastic sound quality makes it a worthwhile investment.
